Direct coupling of a high temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell with hydrogen produced by catalytic partial dehydrogenation of a gasoline-ethanol blend (E10)

چکیده

The on-board partial dehydrogenation of gasoline to generate hydrogen sufficient purity feed a fuel cell directly requires catalysts producing high at rate, while also preserving the defining density and boiling point properties allow its recycle tank. Here, >98% is produced by catalytic SP95E10 (containing 10% ethanol) with productivity 2300 NL·h−1·kgcat−1 using Pt–Sn–In/alumina catalyst prepared templating incipient wetness impregnation. used temperature proton exchange membrane cell. difference in performance between fed pure generated from reaches only 13 mV 200 mA cm−2 160 °C, loss completely recovered when anode gas stream reverted hydrogen. Such reversible attributable presence carbon monoxide that formed oxygenated hydrocarbons during reaction. depleted retains physical presents significantly lower sulfur content, opening prospects for power generation vehicle on demand primary fuel.
